Description

This is the most popular sweet cherry variety, prized for its exceptionally large fruit that ripens to a deep mahogany color. The cherries are firm, sweet, and juicy, making them excellent for fresh eating as well as canning and preserves. Trees are grafted onto vigorous, disease‑resistant Mahaleb cherry rootstock. For best fruit production, plant alongside a pollinizer such as ‘Stella’ or ‘Rainier’. This deciduous tree requires approximately 700 to 900 hours of winter chill. Plant in humus‑rich, acidic, well‑drained soil. Water deeply and consistently during the first few growing seasons to build a strong root system, then reduce watering once established.
