Description
The classic ‘Heritage’ variety is considered one of the top choices for fall harvesting. This everbearing plant produces a light summer crop, followed by a heavy fall harvest of sweet, flavorful berries. The fruit holds together well and remains firm and juicy even if harvest is delayed for a day or two. It offers excellent flavor for fresh eating and performs well in jams. This variety is deciduous. Grow in fertile, well‑drained soil. Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to establish a strong root system. After harvest, cut the canes that have fruited back to the ground, leaving one‑year‑old canes to produce the next season’s crop. Train new canes on a trellis for support.
