Arizona SeriesA 2005 All-America Selections winner and recipient of the 2005 Fleuroselect Gold Medal, this compact and uniform perennial produces an abundance of large, 3″ wide blooms in fiery orange red, accented by a ring of rich flame yellow. Butterflies are especially attracted to its vivid coloring. Flowering from early summer through fall, it provides long lasting color in containers and supplies an ongoing source of fresh blanket flower cut blooms throughout the season. Once established, these perennials require very little care. They are highly heat tolerant and actually perform best in poorer soils. Their common name comes from the way they once blanketed North American prairies with color.
