Description
PP28701This ornamental onion features twisting, snakelike leaves that evoke the mythical hair of Medusa. ‘Medusa’ forms a low mound of gray‑green, narrow foliage, with leaves that curl slightly at the tips. The nodding flower buds resemble small snakes at the ends of the stems before straightening to form rounded clusters of light amethyst‑purple flowers measuring about 1¾ to 2″ wide.Alliums are delightful additions to rock and herb gardens. When the foliage is bruised, it releases an onion scent that reflects its place in the onion family.
