Description
‘Millennium’ forms a compact, upright clump of glossy green, thick, strap‑like leaves that release a mild onion scent when crushed. In late July and August, it produces an abundance of bright rosy‑purple flowers. The tightly rounded flower clusters measure about 2″ across and are held on strong stems just above the attractive foliage. Alliums are charming additions to rock and herb gardens. Because they belong to the onion family, the foliage smells like onions when bruised.
