Description
Burning Hearts False Sunflower is a showy short-lived perennial forming an upright clump of stiff purple stems boasting sunflower-like flowers from midsummer to fall. Each blossom features bright golden-yellow ray petals with vibrant red-orange centers, surrounding a cone-shaped brownish-yellow center disks. They are visitedby bees, butterflies,and other pollinating insects. The stems are clothed with pairs of rough-textered, toothed, dark purple leaves. A valuable addition to the landscape with a profusion of cheerful blossoms over a long season, False Sunflower is an undemanding plant which provides excellent, midsummer color. Hardy and easy to grow, it is a beautiful garden perennial for dry sites.Additional information
