Garlic can be grown successfully in almost any garden. It lends it’s specific, pungent taste to italian dishes and gourmet cooking.Planting Instructions – Loosen soil to a depth of 10″ in early Spring after danger of frost is past.For best results, mix compost or manure into the soil.Seperate garlic bulbs into cloves and plant each section individually.1″ deep and 6″ apart in rows about 1 foot apart.Garlic grows best in full sun: soil should be moist but not wet.Cloves may be planted in the fall or an early August crop: mulching may be desirable in harsh climates.Harvesting – Dig up bulbs after foliae has died down naturally and allow them to dry in the sun for a few days.Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area.
