Description

This thornless, dwarf blackberry produces a vibrant summer display of large, juicy berries. It fruits more reliably than many similar varieties, and its compact growth habit makes it ideal for patio containers. In most regions, it produces two crops per season and bears fruit on second‑year canes. This plant is deciduous. Plant in fertile, mildly acidic, well‑drained soil. Water deeply and regularly during the first growing season to help establish a strong root system. Apply fertilizer in early spring and again in summer. In late spring, remove any dead canes. After harvest, prune the canes that have fruited down to the ground, leaving the one‑year‑old canes to produce the following season’s crop. Photo courtesy of Monrovia.
