Description

This vigorous climbing vine attaches itself to surfaces using aerial rootlets. It begins with a slower, more shrub‑like growth habit, but once established, it quickly develops long, fast‑growing stems. Dense green foliage provides a lush backdrop for its spectacular white lacecap flowers that appear in summer. This plant is deciduous.This is the only hydrangea that grows as a climbing vine, with enough vigor to quickly cover even a large home. As a deciduous plant, it provides cooling shade to walls during the summer months while allowing sunlight to warm them in winter, helping improve seasonal energy efficiency. Its self‑clinging growth habit eliminates the need for a trellis, and it can easily climb to second‑story heights. It is equally effective for covering fences, adding shade to arbors, or serving as an economical solution for dressing up concrete retaining walls and freestanding barriers.Performs best in rich, fertile, well‑drained soil. In cooler climates, it can tolerate full sun when provided with consistent moisture; however, hot and humid conditions should be avoided. During the first growing season, water deeply and regularly to encourage the development of a strong root system. Apply a general‑purpose fertilizer to support healthy growth.
