Description

This clematis is exceptionally floriferous, producing an abundance of showy 4–5 inch blooms in rich purple‑blue tones highlighted by a deeper purple central bar. Bright red anthers add bold contrast, while the slightly ruffled petal edges give the flowers an extra touch of charm. Dense foliage in shades of mid to deep green provides an ideal backdrop for the vibrant blossoms. Plants remain compact, reaching about 4 feet tall, and flower from May through July. Pruning group 3.
