Butterflybush, ‘Pink Cascade II’

PP35438Cascade CollectionLike other members of the Cascade series, ‘Pink Cascade II’ produces large, arching flower panicles that can reach up to 12″ long, blooming from late summer into fall. This improved selection offers noticeably larger and fuller panicles than the original. It blooms later to align with ‘Grand Cascade’, making it an excellent choice for extending the season. We have not observed seed set on this plant, suggesting it may be sterile, a standout characteristic among Buddleia. Butterfly bushes have long earned their place in the garden, and it is easy to understand why. Just when the late summer heat sets in and many plants begin to fade, buddleias come into bloom. At a time when much of the garden looks tired, they are only beginning their display. Their soft coloring and refined texture create a beautiful backdrop for other perennials, while butterflies, bees, and hummingbirds are drawn to their fragrant, nectar rich flowers.Photo courtesy of Walters Gardens, Inc.
