Gymnocladus dioicus
Kentucky Coffeetree is a Nebraska native with few pest problems that thrives in a wide range of soils and tolerates drought and urban conditions. Growth starts off slow but picks up after the establishment period. Yellow fall color and elm-like arching branches. Female trees have 8″ flower clusters followed by dark pods that add to winter interest.
