Kousa Dogwoods flower 2-3 weeks later than native varieties, with more cold-hardy buds and strong horizontal branching. Stellar Pink is vigorous and uniform. Overlapping pink bracts persist for up to 6 weeks. Reddish raspberry-like fruits adorn the tree from August through October. Scarlet fall color is late and long-lasting. Rich soil is preferred, so amend lean soils with compost. More drought and disease resistant than flowering varieties.
