Description
Elms are known for their fast growth rate and high, arching canopies. Chinese elms are graceful and adaptable to the most extreme growing conditions. They naturally grow more than one leader and should be pruned to develop a single leader if desired. A single leader can help prevent splitting with high winds and ice loads. Allee has a vase shape similar to American Elm, with exfoliating bark and a fluted trunk.For reference only:
